Our 2-4 year old JELLY TOT classes are carefully structured to allow your child to explore all areas of the performing arts through drama games, music, creative reading and mime. All of our classes are with our qualified, DBS checked instructors who will get the most out of your child without them feeling intimidated or nervous. Exploring theatre through play really does help young minds develop and allows children the chance to explore different aspects and opportunities that StageWorks Performing Arts School offers. On reaching 4 years old our Jelly Tots will progress to our main school at our Junior Youth Classes.
Our 4-8/9 year old students in our JUNIOR YOUTH classes are continually developed in Performing Arts with carefully directed drama fun, games and music tuition. Our Junior Youth students flourish in this environment - where fun leads the way for their learning and development of confidence, self-belief and determination. Our younger students begin their stage journey and gain valuable experience by treading the boards as supporting cast members to our Senior Youth and Academy students. During our Summer Show they bring to life their skills with a much more individual performance that aids their growth as performers.
Our 9/10-12 year old SENIOR YOUTH classes continue expanding their young performer knowledge of Musical Theatre with a much more in-depth training in Performing Arts. Our structured classes specialise in challenging our Senior Youth class to expand their talent, confidence, self-belief and determination. We very much focus on a team aspect of performance in the mid-age ranges and how the importance of working together and supporting each other during each class and live performance is important to the production. We encourage our Senior Youth to take on more monologues in our Summer Shows and audition for the extra roles we have in our annual end of year BIG SHOW Production. Our Senior Youth lead our local Youth Festival performances.
Our Saturday morning Academy School is for our 13-18 year old students. Our senior students enjoy a more in-depth focus (3 hours) to their performance, with further technical and detailed understanding on the intricacy of choreography, singing and acting.
Our senior students enter drama competitions and have the opportunity to audition for all principal roles at all Festivals, Carnivals, Summer and at our end of year BIG SHOW Winter Full-Scale Production. From time to time our Academy students are invited to audition for professional agents. We encourage our Academy students with their GCSEs or with any further educational activities such as Performing Arts Colleges and A-Levels. There is an introductory process for external applications.
Our JUNIOR, SENIOR, ACADEMY STUDENTS and our EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES follow the (SODC) term-time on the days shown here.

Our classes develop children's musical theatre skills. Each week the students learn age-appropriate material; poems/scripts/monologues/songs/dances - plus receive technical advice on performance and presentation.
Each student is monitored and assessed regularly to ensure they are working to the correct standard, and that no-one gets left behind. Students gain so much confidence from our classes - we see so many children bloom as they develop with their self-belief, and in determination -and all in a structured environment with our professionally qualified instructors.
We offer complimentary trials for all of our classes and would love to invite your child along for them to see what we do and how the classes are structured. Our musical theatre classes run every day from Monday-Saturday, during term-time for 4–18-year-olds in Henley-on-Thames, Benson, Spencers Wood and Caversham.
Our non-performing Jelly Tot classes are designed drama classes especially for children aged 2–4-year-olds; parents can join too! These classes are designed to allow your child to explore all areas of the performing arts with our qualified, DBS checked instructors who will get the most out of your child without them feeling intimidated or nervous. Exploring theatre through drama games, music and creative reading really does help young minds develop and explore different aspects and opportunities of this creativity. On reaching 4 years old our Jelly Tots graduate to our main school in Henley and into our Junior Musical Theatre classes where they will then be involved in all of our future productions/festivals/carnivals/Summer/ Christmas Shows. All of which continues to nurture their confidence, self-belief & determination.

THURSDAY CLASSES 615-715PM
Did you know that public Speaking remains the No.1 fear for most adults - can you imagine what that must feel like for a child?
We have seen the most timid of children go on to be the biggest performers with our classes, proving that LAMDA is a great asset to our students development as young people; many of our LAMDA students have gone on to enjoy very successful careers, all helped by the experiences they have gained from StageWorks and public speaking.
LAMDA examinations are accredited as an Awarding Body by regulators in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. LAMDA classes are designed to equip young learners with a range of skills that will serve them throughout life.
LAMDA classes are for our students aged 6+ who wish to further develop their acting skills and take part in extra classes which prepare them for nationally recognised LAMDA exams (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art).
Exams are at LAMDA, Talgarth Road, London.
There are extra costs for exams - we encourage our students to take two exams each year.
Our students present their LAMDA pieces at our main school Summer Show.
Our DANCE HUB classes are created by our Founder and Choreographer Emma-Jane Taylor. These classes are created for the budding dancer to have some fun, improve their dance skills and work on performances. Our dance hub classes are freestyle/ non-exam based session in Henley-on-Thames.
