Our classes develop children's musical theatre skills. Each week the students learn age approproate material; poems/scripts/monologues/songs/dances/ plus receive technical advice on performance and presentation.
Each student is monitored and assessed regularly to ensure they are working to the correct standard, and that no-one gets left behind. Students gain so much confidence from our classes - we see so many children bloom as they develop their confidence, self-belief and determination and all in a structured environment with our professionally qualified instructors.
We offer complimentary trials for all of our classes - and would love to invite your child along to see what we get up to, and how the classes are structured.
Did you know that public Speaking remains the No.1 fear for most adults - can you imagine what that must feel like for a child?
We have seen the most timid of children go on to be the biggest performers, proving that LAMDA and our activities at StageWorks are a great asset to their development as young people; students have gone on to become successful Barristers, GPs, Airline hostesses, Teachers....all helped by their experiences from StageWorks. LAMDA examinations are accredited as an Awarding Body by the regulators in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. They are designed to equip learners with a range of skills that will serve them throughout life.
LAMDA is for our students aged 6+ who wish to further develop their acting skills and take part in extra classes to prepare them for nationally recognised LAMDA exams (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art).
There are extra costs for exams.
The Dance Hub classes are created by our Founder and Choreographer Emma-Jane Taylor, for the budding dancers to have some fun improve their dance skills and work on performances. Our dance hub classes are freestyle/ non-exam based session. Caitlin Stevens, Choreographer is pictured.
We will be presenting our dance show in the local areas for our young dancers in 2025. Please get in touch for more information on our Dance Hub.
Do you have 2-4 year olds who love to dance, act and sing?
Our non-performing Dramisco Tots classes are for children aged 2-4 year olds; parents can join too! These classes are designed to allow your child to explore all areas of the performing arts with our qualified, DBS checked instructors who will get the most out of your child without them feeling intimidated or nervous. Exploring theatre through drama games, music games and creative reading really does help young minds develop and explore different aspects of their creativity. On reaching 4 years old our Dramisco Tots graduate to our main school in Henley and into our Junior classes where they will then be involved in all of our future productions/festivals/carnival and in our Summer/ Christmas Shows. All of which continue to develop confidence, self belief & determination.
Students must have correct footwear i.e. jazz shoes and/or tap shoes. We have a uniform that students must adhere to in their classes and we also use this when we 'turn out' at all our events.

Hair must be tied up and off the face.

All classes start on time, students should arrive and be dropped off 5 minutes before class starts.
We ask that parents leave the hall whilst their child's classes are in progress to prevent disruption. We can accomodate if necessary for parent/ guardian to be present, especially for our younger classes/Jelly Tot classes.
Collecting your child from our activities
Parents are duly bound to collect their child from any of our activities on time, we have a '5 minute late' policy, and request parents contact StageWorks immediately with any changes to this.
Most of our teachers have other commitments to get to. If parents are late we ensure students are waiting with DBS checked responsible adults or make alternative plans as agreed.
We do not allow mobile phones in class, these must be switched off during class time.
Term fees are due at the start of each term; please note we charge 5% for late payments - for up dated fees/prices please email the admin team.
We are very excited to have moved into the 21st Century and now have an online portal for parents to access, pay and manage their childrens activities with us at StageWorks. We offer discounts and support for any families who need.
Production costs are not included in our class term fees. Production costs include show fees, tickets & costume fees - these costs are reviewed annually and we have various plans available to help spread the cost.
PLEASE NOTE: we require a half term's notice should your child wish to leave or half term fee payment will be expected.
