All students get the opportunity to perform in all of our productions throughout the year, and there are many! Our annual diary always runs with two major productions; one outside in the summer, and the other under cover in the winter at a venue that accomodates our prodcution needs, ie immersive, round stage. We also regulary perform at Festivals, Carnivals, Galas.
We choose our venues carefully to produce a varied style of performance; keeping up with the safe development of our young performers - please note there are extra rehearsal dates and weekends throughout the year where we expect students to attend. Check out our DIARY DATES page.
IMPORTANT NOTE; PLEASE read our T&C's carefully when you sign up - so there are no surprises re our extra rehearsals/costs or expectations.
Our major productions give students the opportunity to perform with a professional team, deepening their training with us at StageWorks Performing Arts School. Our productions bring life skills; confidence, self-belief, determination and also allow children to understand the importance of teamwork, and how to express themselves.
If you are interested in joining our 'Production team' in anyway, then please make yourself known to the admin team so we can share what positions are available - and then sign you up....quickly!
We run various Workshops and Masterclasses throughout the year. These are both internal and external events created and designed by our Principal, Emma Jane Taylor.
Our bespoke in-house workshops are creative, fun, engaging; allowing children the opportunity to develop their skills, build confidence and self-belief.
Our Masterclasses have become popular by young performers, as they focus in on their skills and performance development.
We regularly visit local schools, offering local communities the opportunity to take part in our workshops. These are very popular in the local areas, and we would be happy to discuss further with your school.
By offering varied classes, we are able to provide great opportunities for children wanting to develop their performing skills, enhancing their ability and future opportunities. Our workshops are open to all young performers across our local community.
In the first instance, please contact us directly for our up-coming events, and details of how to book your child onto these exclusive days.
Our workshops & masterclasses are led by our in-house performance team.
Our Open Days run regularly throughout the year to encourage our young performers to find out more about our amazing school. Our OPEN days are FREE & every child is welcome to join us.
Do let us know if you were wanting your child to attend.
Each young performer taking part in our OPEN DAYS gets to see how our school and classes are run - and what we are working on. We share information at our Open Days on how our productions are presented at our shows throughout the year, and we teach students various routines and involve them in plenty of drama activities.
For more information on our OPEN DAYS please get in touch!
Some of our students are represented by our casting agent and have gone onto perform in the West End, TV, Film, and on Broadway -> yes, we celebrated Ted Wilson playing Eric in Matilda on Broadway and also in the West End, London. We are also very lucky to have rubbed shoulders with Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible, Dame Judi Dench in All is True, Rupert Everett, Colin Firth in St.Trinians and many many more greats over the last 25 years.

We appreciate extra activities come at further cost, often putting many families under much stress, leaving children missing out on wonderful opportunities. Because of this and of our commitment to working with children in the local areas we offer families that need support various opportunities for their child to take part. Please do get in touch to discuss this further.
This is a discretionary conversation that starts with a face-to-face meeting with our Principal Emma-Jane Taylor to find the best solution for each family. We are helping many families across the Thames Valley currently, and would love to help you where we can; there is always a way! Please use our contacts page to arrange an initial meeting.

Hair tied up & off the face. NO jewellery to be worn at anytime during classes, and only in shows if part of costume.
We do have SW previous show tee's - these can be worn in class.
We have a range of MERCHANDISE, which is NON-compulsory, but makes great gifts!
Our classes always start on time, students should arrive/ be dropped off 5 minutes before class starts to ensure they are fully prepared for their time at StageWorks.
We ask that parents leave the hall whilst their child's classes are in progress to prevent disruption. We can accomodate, if necessary, for parent/ guardian to be present, especially for our younger classes/Jelly Tot students.
Collecting your child!
Parents are duly bound to collect their child from any of our activities on time, we have a '5 minute late' policy, and request parents contact StageWorks office immediately with any updates. Most of our teachers have other commitments to get to. If parents are late we will ensure students are waiting with DBS checked responsible adults or make alternative plans as agreed with parent.
We do not allow mobile phones to be used during class time. Expectations are that these must be switched off during class time.
Term fees are due at the start of each term; please note we charge 5% for late payments - for up dated fees/prices please email the admin team.
We are very excited to have moved into the 21st Century and now have an online portal, CLASS 4 KIDS, for parents to access, pay and manage their childrens activities with us at StageWorks. We offer discounts and support for any families who need - please get in touch.
There are separate costs for show fees, production fees, costumes fees, tickets - these costs are reviewed annually and can be spread out across the year. All fees/ costs continue to ensure StageWorks enjoys our high standards of activities throughout the year. Please let us know if you need any financial support.
PLEASE NOTE: we require a FULL term's notice should your child wish to leave. FULL term fee payment will be expected if the correct notice has not been given.
