We take Safeguarding very seriously and continue to do our best in this area to ensure children are kept safe from harm and/ or neglect, and recognise signs that could lead to intervention.
Everyone who works at StageWorks, or who performs volunteer duties at StageWorks, must adhere to our Safeguarding policy and follow our chosen safeguarding training which comes with a certificate on completion.
We have a team of DBS volunteers, and where needed use a team of certified (by SODC) Chaperones.
Emma Jane Taylor, StageWorks, UK
Safeguarding is a term used to protect the health, wellbeing and human rights of humans, in our case, children and the vulernable. Safeguarding allows children to live free from abuse, harm & neglect.
StageWorks is committed to the principles that ensure children are safeguarded. StageWorks understands that everyone has a duty to report actual, suspected or risk of harm.
We expect anyone working or volunteering with StageWorks Performing Arts School to be alert to any safeguarding concerns. All concerns must be raised with our safeguarding leads; Emma Jane Taylor, Jasmine Belcher, Julie Green.
