We are a professional school, and part of our programme is giving children the full experience of performing. Our team consists of highly trained performers & professionals, and our fees reflect the standards, expertise, and expectations that come with delivering a high‑quality performing arts education.

Understanding Our Costs at StageWorks
At StageWorks, we believe families deserve clarity. Our pricing reflects the quality of training, care and opportunities we provide, and the best way to understand that value is to come and try a class. Experience always speaks louder than comparison.
Our Core Purpose
Performing is at the heart of StageWorks. Students train and perform on professional stages with a fully professional crew, giving them experiences that build confidence, resilience and pride. Alongside this, our exam‑based classes in Musical Theatre and Acting offer structured, meaningful progression for every young performer.
What Shapes Our Costs
Each year we review our productions and the expenses involved. Costs vary depending on the scale of the show, the venues we use and the rising industry costs we must keep up with. Our performances range from small in‑house showcases to major theatres, including Sadler’s Wells in 2026. Productions require rehearsals, costumes, licences, learning materials and full technical support. These elements ensure we deliver the high‑quality, professional‑standard experiences StageWorks is known for.
The Skills Students Gain
Families often tell us how much their children grow with us, not just as performers, but as people. Students develop strong public speaking, presentation skills and the confidence to show up well in work, school and future opportunities. These are life skills that stay with them long after the curtain falls.
Balancing Value and Experience
We work hard to keep costs manageable without compromising quality. We build extra rehearsals into the timetable where possible, keep activities local to reduce travel costs and use StageWorks uniform for our spring show to minimise costume expenses. Our aim is always to offer exceptional value without unnecessary extras.
Why Schools Differ in Price
Performing arts schools vary widely in their running costs, expertise, venues and production standards. Some keep costs low by rehearsing in school halls or offering informal shows. There is no right or wrong, it really does come to the experience you want for your child.
At StageWorks, we include high‑value opportunities such as three West End workshops each year at no extra cost, giving students access to industry professionals who enrich their learning.
Where StageWorks Sits
Our costs sit in the middle to higher end of local activities. This reflects our investment in professional‑standard training, high‑quality venues and meaningful performance opportunities. We sit where quality meets value.
Our Commitment
Emma Jane is dedicated to offering performance experiences that feel special, meaningful and achievable for families. We focus on value, wellbeing and genuine growth. Every child deserves the chance to shine, and we work tirelessly to make that possible.

Term fees are due at the start of each term; please note we charge 5% for late payments. For updated fees please email the admin team. We work hard to make sure our rates remain competitive and offer various discounts and financial support for any families who need this. Each school and area currently has it's own band of pricing - to find out more on the current individual branch rates please contact us. Our compulsory uniform is black leggings, branded tee-shirts, jazz shoes. Non-compulsory hoodies available. PLEASE NOTE: we require a FULL term's notice should your child wish to leave. FULL term fee payment will be expected if the correct notice has not been given.
*By the end of 2026 we are aiming to spread the costs of our term fees and costs across 12 months and with DD payments.
Putting on large scale productions is a big commitment. There are separate costs for show fees which include production fees. This is a one-off fee that includes production costs (licensing, rehearsal space, performance stages, music licensing) and student annual performance fee. This fee covers any other of the many events we are invited to perform at where extra rehearsals are needed and it also covers are WEST END WORKSHOPS. The guide to our current annual production costs is between £120-£140 depending on activity, production and technical requirements. Costs are reviewed annually and can be spread out across the year. All fees/ costs continue to ensure StageWorks provides our high standards of productions throughout the year. Please let us know if you need any financial support, we always work out a way so children don't miss out!
For our BIG productions we provide each student with a costume. We take care of any hiring needs, accessories, dry-cleaning, make up and props. Costs range from £25 - £50 per child, depending on several factors. For up-to-date prices please do get in touch.
All tickets for our productions are purchased direct from StageWorks UK, unless we are performing at professionally run theatres where the box office is often run by the theatre directly. This usually incurs more cost all round, which are reflective in their box-office ticket prices and Theatre levy's - sorry, but that is really out of our control. Tickets are (mostly) priced between £15 - £25 - depending on location and incurred costs. London venues dictate their ticket prices.
