Each week our students learn age-appropriate material; poems/ scripts/ monologues/ songs/ dances - plus gain technical knowledge on performance and presentation.
Each student is monitored and assessed regularly to ensure they are working to the correct standard, and that no-one gets left behind. Students gain so much confidence from our classes. We love to see our students bloom in confidence as they develop with self-belief and in determination and all in a structured environment with professionally qualified instructors.
We offer complimentary trials for all our classes (not masterclasses/ workshops or holiday camps) and would love to invite your child along for a complimentary trial for them to see what we do, how the classes are structured and to experience StageWorks and it’s magic. Some of our classes have waiting lists.

Our classes run every day from Monday - Saturday during term-time, for 4–18-year-olds in Henley-on-Thames, Benson, Marlow and Caversham. From time to time, we also run pop-up Jelly Tot classes. Our terms mostly follow the SODC calendar - from time to time this may vary - especially where some of our classes land on Bank Holiday Mondays.
Our structured classes allow your child to explore all areas of the performing arts with our experienced, professional and qualified, DBS checked instructors who will get the most out of your child without them feeling intimidated or nervous. Performing continues to nurture confidence, self-belief & determination.
Our students perform regularly across the year, ending each year with our major weeklong production at a Theatre or Immersive stage in the local area. Our productions come with a full working production team.

Our 2–4-year-old JELLY TOT classes are carefully structured to allow your child to explore all areas of the performing arts through drama games, music, creative reading and mime. All our classes are with our qualified, DBS checked instructors who will get the most out of your child without them feeling intimidated or nervous. Exploring theatre through play really does help young minds develop and allows children the chance to explore different aspects and opportunities that StageWorks Performing Arts School offers. On reaching 4 years old our Jelly Tots will progress to our main school at our Junior Youth Classes.

Our 4-8 year-old students in our JUNIOR YOUTH classes are continually developed in Performing Arts with carefully directed drama fun, games and music tuition. Our Junior Youth students flourish in this environment - where fun leads the way for their learning and development of confidence, self-belief and determination. Our younger students begin their stage journey and gain valuable experience by treading the boards as supporting cast members to our Senior Youth and Academy students. During our Summer Show they bring to life their skills with a much more individual performance that aids their growth as performers.

Our 9–12-year-old SENIOR YOUTH classes continue expanding their young performer knowledge of Musical Theatre with a much more in-depth training in Performing Arts. Our structured classes specialise in challenging our Senior Youth class to expand their talent, confidence, self-belief and determination. We very much focus on a team aspect of performance in the mid-age ranges and how the importance of working together and supporting each other during each class and live performance is important to the production. We encourage our Senior Youth to take on more monologues in our Summer Shows and audition for the extra roles we have in our annual end of year BIG SHOW Production. Our Senior Youth lead our local Youth Festival performances.

Our Saturday morning Academy School is for our 13–18-year-old students. Our senior students enjoy a more in-depth focus (3 hours) to their performance, with further technical and detailed understanding on the intricacy of choreography, singing and acting.
Our senior students enter drama competitions and can audition for all principal roles at all Festivals, Carnivals, Summer and at our end of year BIG SHOW Winter Full-Scale Production. From time to time our Academy students are invited to audition for professional agents. We encourage our Academy students with their GCSEs or with any further educational activities such as Performing Arts Colleges and A-Levels.
THERE IS AN INTRODUCTORY PROCESS FOR EXTERNAL APPLICANTS.

Dance Hub is a freestyle dance class for children looking to expand their knowledge of dance, explore choreography and perform. Assessments are in-house, managed by our Principal/ Dance lead and Choreographer, Emma Jane Taylor. She says " I started dancing at 3 years old and haven’t stopped - tap dancing being a speciality of mine. My life has revolved around dance and performance. I regularly speak about the Performing Arts and how it has been my saviour, bringing much peace and strength to my life.
Choreographing shows is a deep passion of mine, allows me to be creative, a skill I learnt as a young girl. I believe creativity is a useful tool for children’s development and I encourages this at StageWorks Performing Arts School".

Students must have the correct footwear i.e. jazz shoes and/or tap shoes. We have a uniform that students must adhere to in their classes, we also use this when we 'turn out' at all our events.

Our classes always start on time. Students should arrive/ be dropped off 5 minutes before class starts to ensure they are fully prepared for their time at StageWorks.
We ask that parents leave the hall whilst their child's classes are in progress to prevent disruption. We can accommodate, if necessary, for parent/guardian to be present at our younger classes/ Jelly Tot students.

Term fees are due at the start of each term; please note we charge 5% for late payments - for updated fees/ prices please email the admin team.
We offer various discounts and financial support for any families who need - please get in touch.
There are separate costs for show fees, production fees, costumes fees, tickets - these costs are reviewed annually and can be spread out across the year. All fees/ costs continue to ensure StageWorks enjoys our high standards of activities throughout the year. Please let us know if you need any financial support.
PLEASE NOTE: we require a FULL term's notice should your child wish to leave. FULL term fee payment will be expected if the correct notice has not been given.

2026 is a truly exciting year for us all at StageWorks. We can’t wait to get going. We are thrilled to announce that we will perform at the prestigious Sadlers Wells, London in November 2026. We are very excited with this opportunity and will share more with our parents and students over the coming weeks.
