Our team are creative individuals who have experienced many years in the Performing Arts Industry. They are enthusiastic about sharing knowledge and passing on their skills and education to the next generation. All of our instructors are regularly updated on our safeguaring expectations and have to complete our chosen safeguarding trianing that comes with a certificate. Every instructor has an enhanced DBS certificate.

Lloyd joined StageWorks as a cover teacher, 25 years ago! We have made him stay ever since!
He teaches drama to our senior students on a Saturday, and is our in-house Performance Director working on our end of year shows. His talent is recognised throughout the local areas, inspiring many of our youth!
He also works with Emma-Jane on the masterclasses.

Caitlin is our senior dance teacher and choreographer. She was once a student of Stageworks at 4 years old, and is now the head choreographer. And now, here I am, choreographing my first show solo, teaching all the students a mix of everything I learnt from the very people who inspired me to dance. Laura was a talented student at StageWorks until the age of 16, before going on to complete a Diploma in Musical Theatre at Redroofs Theatre College. Laura has appeared in productions such as Grease, James and the Giant Peach, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and Aladdin, as well as working on TV and film projects with the BBC and P

Laura brings incredible knowledge and passion to the team, and we can’t wait for our young performers to be inspired by her energy and love for the stage.

Jaz is the class manager for Benson and also the director for the BC shows.
Jaz loves Stageworks as she started here as student herself and is proud to be a part of the Stageworks family. She says "I love watching all of our performers grow in confidence and skill, our students never cease to amaze me with the shows they put on".

Nicky has been teaching at StageWorks for more than a decade and loves seeing the students grow in confidence and skill. Nicky teaches dance to the senior Henley students, choreographing for the Summer and Winter shows as well as creating pieces for the Henley Youth Festival.
You can often see Nicky on stage in local theatre productions where she also Directs and Choreographs.

Mark has been involved with theatre and drama for many years, initially studying as a student, before continuing to perform and direct all through his adult life.
Mark is passionate about teaching the StageWorks students, focusing on the drama side and creating a fun, learning and confidence building environment.

Grace has been dancing since the age of two and trained to a high standard until she was 18. She has choreographed successful competition pieces and grew up in a theatre, with her parents involved in local productions throughout her life. Grace says she is excited to watch the young performers at StageWorks fall in love with the arts just like she did!

Betty-Mae joined SW as a Jelly Tot student, aged 3. She is now a junior teacher for our Henley Junior Youth classes. She is also a StageWorks Academy Student. Betty-Mae loves the Performing Arts and wants to do more of it! She enjoyed playing the title role in Alice in Wonderland, 2024 and the Lion in Wizard of Oz in 2025. She is now studying performing arts at college.

Lily joined SW as a young student, she is now a student junior teacher for our Henley Junior and Senior Youth classes. She is also a StageWorks Academy Student.
Lily is an asset to our team; we love her energy & passion. Lily was the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland, 2024.

Ruby has been at StageWorks for many years and is following in her sisters footsteps by being on the other side, working with the senior team.

When Emma-Jane started StageWorks, Jane her Mother, was only too delighted to help with the administration & financial side of the business. She has continued to work through all the new stages and now going into the digital side - finding it hard at times !! She delights in supporting the admin team, and oversees all the accounting.
Her home has become an office !!

Julie is part of the admin' team, looking after the Benson, Caversham and Spencers Wood StageWorks schools.
She also loves to help behind the scenes with all performances - there's nothing better than a StageWorks Show Week.

Ann looks after the admin for all the adult classes and teaches daytime Ballet, Tap, Showtime (musical theatre dance) and Strictly Dance Fit.
She has been dancing for most of her life and now loves sharing her enjoyment with older adults to help them improve posture, balance, mobility and co-ordination as well maintaining their mental fitness.

Our founder, Emma Jane (EJ) Taylor
Emma Jane trained at JG Dance where she also completed her ISTD training in tap, jazz and modern. She works closely with the SW admin team, SW Show Director Lloyd White, and the senior management/ performance team, supporting the continued planning and development of productions, classes and children’s development.
She has developed the Junior Training Scheme to ensure the younger team are well prepped to support the senior team; continuing to facilitate each class and production. She believes investing in young people is the way forward for our world, and encourages others to do the same. She says "we are really proud to offer various programmes that support our students and their development and progression in performing arts. Some students become ambassadors, some become student teachers - and all highly thought of by our senior and management teams''.
She has lived and breathed performing, and loves the impact StageWorks UK has to so many young (& old) lives in her community! She has mentored and coached many professionals and celebrities since her career began and includes clients in her achievements who were mentored by Robbie Williams and who performed on the biggest talent show; The X Factor.
She works closely with Ann Burley and the adult dance classes at NutritiousWorks (StageWorks’s sister company) and also at DiscoShuffle UK. She teaches at Pineapple Dance Studios and recently choreographed the Box Office smash hit musical, We Will Rock You.
